1 cup Castor Sugar
6 tbsp Salted Butter Room Temperature
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1 tsp Salt
Heat sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly with a heat resistant rubber Spatula or Wooden Spoon.
Heat Sugar carefully till it turns amber colored.
Make sure it should not burn.
Once sugar is completely melted immediately add the butter.
Stir the butter into the caramel until it is completely melted about 2-3 minutes.
A whisk helps if you find the butter is separating from the sugar.
Very slowly drizzle in half cup of heavy cream while stirring.
Allow the mixture to blend in well and give it a boil for a minute.
It will rise in the pan as it boils.
Remove from heat and then stir in 1 tsp of salt.
Let the caramel to cool down before using it.
Store it in a glass container.
Make yummy desserts and add your homemade caramel to it.
